How to Save On Electricity Bill With Ceiling Fans
People who have ceiling fans brag about their efficiency, coolness, and the money they save on electric bills. Al Sprock, who has six ceiling fans installed in his well shaded three bedroom home in Maryland’s Carroll County, informed me he has turned his air conditioning unit on only six days this summer. My younger brother informed me that the ceiling fans installed and whirling in his three-bedroom home in the Kansas City suburbs are enabling his family to be comfortable with the air conditioners units thermostat set at 78 degrees. The Department of Energy says turning your thermostat two degrees higher could lower your cooling costs by 4 percent to 6 percent, and will help conserve electricity and lead to savings on your electricity bill.
